WE ARE GEM
Kate Sullivan and I created this digital marketing ad for GEM. GEM was a newly established creative agency and dear former colleagues of ours, who had asked us to create an introduction to their company and services for them.
As with newly established cpmpanies the budget was tight and Kate and I had to think "efficient but impactful". We put our heads together and designed this animation, that incporporated the diamond logo design, into the look and feel of the video. The story is told through a line animation, based on the design of the GEM wordmark. The animation that supports the narration, through iconography that grows out of the line, while the camera pans across the pastel landscape.
As with our Fifth Business service ad, we were involved throughout every stage of the production process. We brainstormed the concept together, after which Kate produced the storyboard and illustrated the graphics, while I animated and put together the motion graphics animation.
GEM presents our work on their website to this day. I am very proud of our work and glad we could produce a video that has served the company for so many years.
