SITUATION
Herzflug Festival needed a trailer that would introduce its core themes of mindfulness, calm, and connection to nature.
The visual assets were illustrated by Alexandra Tuchel and Benedikt Frommer, with whom I had collaborated extensively in the past.
After years of working independently in different fields, this project offered a chance to reunite creatively and bring their storyboard to life through animation.
SOLUTION
I animated the illustrated graphics with a meditative, atmospheric motion style that reflected the festival’s holistic identity.
Fairy‑like creatures moved gently, leaves swayed fluidly, and soft glimmers of light floated through the scenes, all designed to evoke serenity and invite viewers into the festival’s world.
The trailer functioned like a title sequence, establishing tone, mood, and emotional resonance while preparing the audience for the event’s mindful, nature‑centred experience.
SUCCESS
Enhanced emotional resonance by translating static illustrations into calming, immersive motion.
Strengthened festival branding through a unified visual language aligned with its mindfulness theme.
Increased viewer engagement with atmospheric animation that encouraged longer watch‑through rates.
Improved promotional impact by delivering a mood‑setting trailer suitable for social, web, and event channels.
Supported audience anticipation by visually conveying the festival’s holistic and nature‑driven experience.
By shaping a cohesive, mood‑driven trailer, Herzflug Festival achieved a clearer emotional introduction, stronger visual identity, and a more inviting promotional presence that helped audiences connect with the event’s mindful atmosphere ahead of time.
