SITUATION
For the 2020 edition of Bookstock, Hugendubel set out to move beyond the limitations of its existing static branding.
The event required a teaser that could translate the established visual identity into a lively and summery motion piece while retaining recognisability.
The timeline was extremely tight, and the animation had to be delivered in three different formats to support promotion across multiple social media channels.
The core challenge lay in creating a cohesive visual experience that worked equally well across all required dimensions without compromising quality or atmosphere.
SOLUTION
The project centred on transforming the brand’s static elements into a warm, festival‑inspired motion design language.
The animation concept introduced smooth transitions, airy compositions and a gentle, sunlit feeling that aligned with the “summer festival” direction requested by Hugendubel.
To accommodate the multi‑format delivery, the animation was built on a modular Essential Properties setup. This approach made it possible to adjust layout and composition responsively for each output while preserving the overall look and flow of the teaser. The system ensured consistency across formats and provided the flexibility needed to meet a tight production schedule.
